I have always considered myself a sedentary person. I never really liked exercising and thought that all of my friends were wasting their time running after a ball. This led to me being overweight and after entering high school, I realized that I needed to be physically active in order to stay healthy.
During my 9th year of high school I started exercising twice a week, trying different sports every 3 months. I tried basketball, tennis and swimming. During this year I started running 3 times a week and going swimming on Sunday's. This helped me sleep better and focus on my studies. It also led to me losing a lot of weight. Nowadays I don't exercise as much as I used to but I try to remain physically active by walking & biking to my destinations. All in all I consider myself a sedentary person.
I think Medinas research is scientifically accurate, however I don't believe that by simply remaining physically active one can sharpen their mental skills. In my opinion a physically active person can focus on their work better than an inactive person due to the flow of oxygen in the brain however an inactive person can do better on tests and class exercises by studying more.

My goal for this summer is to continue tennis and try to break out of my amateur status. I'm going to go to the ubc tennis camps during July and continue on a weekly basis in August.

Poem for Ms Hancock

There are a lot of people in my life
But she was different
she told me what I wanted to hear
Heard what I had to say
She made my emotions fly
And she even made me cry
She was like the family I never had
And I respect her for that
But one thing i'll never forget
Is the smile on her face every time she turned around

A poetic response to "The sound of the hollyhocks"

What are you escaping from in life?
Is it the harsh memories of your wife?
Is it the money you've always had?
Or is it the betrayl that made you sad?
Is it the flowers that keep you up at night?
Or is it the solitude that gives you fright?
You often ask what's wrong with the world
but all they say is what's wrong with you.
You will stop at nothing to achieve what you want.
But what if what you want is to forget.
People can distract themselves all they want.
They gamble, drink , smoke.
He's a pretty good example of that.
let go of all the things that hold you down.
let go of all the people who make you frown.
live your life as you want it to be.
Or else you'll end up with a belt around your neck
and the world under your feet.

Transformers 4 Movie review

Long, boring and pointless would be the best way to explain this movie to those who haven't seen it. For me Transformer movies use to be a good way to get hyped after a boring day or scare my mom half to death. The new transformers however crushed all those memories and just made me want to leave, but I didn't cause I thought the ending would be interesting even though it wasn't.
The new Transformers movie produced by Michael Bay ,the man who wants to blow up the world, is filled with unfunny humor. Time and time again throughout the movie we see the characters say cheesy pick up lines, with a brief three second pause just to make it sync in. The movie is also filled with product placement such as Budlight, Hyundai, Starbucks and ...
The moral of the story is that audiences no longer like fast pace and CGI made action movies they want something with a good storyline and deep meaning. Michael bays two new film adaptations of Transformers and Ninja Turtles has clearly proved that.
